WHAT: COUNTRY Financial representatives and county farm bureaus throughout Illinois are saying thank you to local farmers for their hard work over the next several days by providing free meals for farmers at local Feed a Farmer events. Some representatives will provide meals and an opportunity for farmers to connect with one another at a public location, and others will deliver meals to the farmers. The first 25 farmers to attend may receive a cooler bag.
WHEN AND WHERE: Find a local Feed a Farmer event near you at Feed a Farmer Week | Illinois Farm Bureau (ilfb.org).
WHY: “Farmers work hard all year, especially now as they are harvesting their crops. We want to add a bright spot to their day and thank them for everything they do,” said Lindsey Rinkenberger, Director, Agribusiness and Commercial Underwriting at COUNTRY.
“Proud to collaborate with our long-time partner, COUNTRY Financial, in supporting our farmers who experience long days and short nights during this busy harvest season; this is just one of the many ways we can support our farmers to take small breaks to ensure a safe harvest,” said Ryan Ford, Executive Director, Field and Member Services at the Illinois Farm Bureau.
