Lists

Lists are used to provide structure to content so that it is easily scannable for users.

COUNTRY Financial® utilizes three types of lists to appropriately structure content: unordered, ordered and definition. These lists cannot be combined with one another, but multiple lists can be used on each page.

Lists should be used as a means of more directly conveying multiple pieces of related information together. Providing information in a list format makes it easier for the visitor to scan for relevant and specific pieces of information, and process grouped items more effectively.

As lists are meant to more easily process grouped information, avoid creating nested lists more than three levels deep. Providing more than three levels of hierarchy in your list makes it difficult for visitors to keep track of each individual element and how it relates to other elements within the list.

Unordered lists are used to display information that does not require a specific order.
