How to file a home insurance claim

1. File a claim

You can file a claim through your online accountour mobile app or by calling 866-COUNTRY (866-268-6879). 

2. Connect with your insurance claim adjuster

An adjuster from our insurance claim team will reach out to explain what happens next, answer any questions you have and review your home insurance policy. Your adjuster is your main point of contact throughout the process and will help with anything you need. Your local insurance agent is also there to help your get information during the home insurance claim process.

3. Review the damage

Your insurance claim adjuster will set up an appointment to review the damage to your home. Our goal is to write an estimate and provide you with a check that day for an initial payment on your claim, so you can start to recover and move forward.

4. Fix your home

If your damage requires a contractor, just give them your estimate and they can start the work. If they have questions, they can contact your insurance claim adjuster directly, so you’re not stuck in the middle.
